Souvenir from St Januário Hospital

Would have these questions come up in your mind: “What are you talking about? Buying a souvenir from the hospital? Who will buy a souvenir while they go to hospital?” Yes, it is, and a lot of people will purposely go to St. Januário Hospital Terminal just for these.

It is a small stall located at the main lobby, you will always see a long queue there, in regardless of what people waiting there anyway, they are all staffs from the hospital, patients, or even visitors. They queued up for coffee, sandwich, snacks mainly; but mostly everyone are craving for their traditional Portuguese home-made cakes.

It’s not a fancy thing, just a piece of delicious cake, spongy, full of egg flavor tastes, and it is so moist. Majority like their marble cake the most, but I prefer more on their homemade pineapple cake better.

More than that, their Bacalhau croquette, spring rolls, mimosa and fired wanton are also my favourites, apart from the taste that matters, but also the childhood memory that I missed so much.
